About us
Tanzania, guided by the people who live here
Dudukwe Safaris and Tours is a locally run safari company in Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania's northern parks.
Our story
Explore. Discover. Experience.
We started Dudukwe with a simple idea: visitors should meet Tanzania through the eyes of the people who know it best. Our guides grew up near the parks they work in, and they can tell you as much about the landscape and its people as about the animals.
We plan every trip around you. You travel in a private vehicle, at your own pace, with a route designed around the season and what you most want to see, whether that is the Great Migration, the elephants of Tarangire or a morning in the Ngorongoro Crater.
The logo says it well: a mountain, a giraffe, an acacia tree and a winding road under the sun. That is the journey we offer.

Good to know
Frequently asked questions
When is the best time to visit Tanzania?
Tanzania has wildlife year-round. June to October is the dry season with easy game viewing; January to March is calving season on the southern Serengeti plains; April and May are the long rains and quieter.
Do I need a visa?
Most visitors need a Tanzanian tourist visa, which can usually be obtained online before travel or on arrival. Requirements change, so check with the Tanzania immigration service before you book flights.
Are your safaris private?
Yes. Our itineraries run in a private vehicle with your own driver-guide. Small-group departures can be arranged on request.
What is the difference between mid-range, upper mid-range and luxury safaris?
All our safaris use a private 4x4 with a window seat for every guest and an expert guide. Mid-range trips stay in comfortable lodges and tented camps. Upper mid-range adds pools, better views and more space. Luxury trips use exclusive tented camps and lodges, often with scenic flights, a balloon flight and selected drinks included.
How do I pay and what is the cancellation policy?
We confirm a booking with a deposit and the balance is due before travel. Full terms are on our cancellation policy page.
